ITF Singer Abhisekh Mitra Kolkata

I am Abhisekh Mitra, born on May 19, 1987, making me 38 years old. My musical journey began at the age of five with my first Guru, my mother, Nupur Mitra. She is a school teacher and holds a Sangeet Prabhakar diploma from Allahabad.
I started playing piano at the age of 10 under the guidance of music director Mr. Amar Laha. After receiving continuous and complete training from him, I learned staff notation from the Music Arranger, Late Mr. Indranil Dasgupta. Following this, I began singing and received vocal training from Ms. Ranjana Manna, who holds a Ph.D. in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharati University and is a classical singer.
I am an IT professional with 14 years of experience in the field of Information Technology, having worked at Mallcom India Limited, Watertech Engineers Pvt. Ltd., and VIVO Kolkata. Currently, I am serving as the IT Head at KARINI GROUP. Throughout my career, I have maintained my passion for music, which I believe contributes to being a good human being.
I wanted to share some details about my musical background.
I have learned commercial singing and rhythm piano with accompaniment from Mr. Ashok Lahiri, a music composer from Kolkata. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with several bands in Kolkata, including Daffodils, Dream Hawkers, and Rhythm.
For the past three years, I have been a student of Mr. Koushik Chakraborty. He is a singer, songwriter, composer, and filmmaker, known as the vocalist of the Bengali rock band Prithibi. Mr. Chakraborty is also recognized for his command of Bengal’s folk music, which he performs with Koushik and Friends. He has sung numerous playbacks for Bengali movies under eminent directors and music directors.
