Bikaner beard group

Bikaner native Shyam Sundar Joshi is a renowned cultural performer and folk artist dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Rajasthan. For the past 7–8 years, he has been leading the famous “Bikaner Beard Group,” a unique cultural team known for showcasing traditional Rajasthani attire, massive turbans, royal moustaches, and folk pride at major festivals and events across India.
Along with his team, Shyam Sundar Joshi has performed at prestigious cultural celebrations such as Kota Mahotsav, Gangaur Festival, Brij Ki Holi, Mount Abu events, performances at Red Fort in Delhi, and the Jaipur Literature Festival. Their performances represent the true spirit, pride, and heritage of Rajasthan.
The Bikaner Beard Group is especially famous for its extraordinary moustache and turban presentations. Several members of the group proudly maintain moustaches ranging from 5 to 7 feet in length and perform stunning acts such as holding swords with their moustaches. The group is also known for wearing traditional Rajasthani turbans weighing between 8 to 30 kilograms for long hours during performances, demonstrating remarkable dedication and cultural pride.
Shyam Sundar Joshi and his team follow traditional methods to maintain their beards and moustaches. They use multani mitti (Fuller’s earth), curd, buttermilk, and natural oils for grooming and treat their moustaches like a symbol of honor and identity. Through their performances, they aim to inspire the younger generation to stay connected with Rajasthani culture, traditions, and traditional attire.
After being inspired by India’s Talent Fight, the entire group became motivated to participate and showcase their unique cultural talent on a national platform. Their mission is not only entertainment but also the preservation and promotion of Rajasthan’s royal heritage across India.
