ITF DANCER PRIYA LUDHIANA

My name is Priya D. I am from ludhiana, punjab and i am 21 years old.
Ever since my childhood i use to like dance a lot and would start tapping my feet whenever i use to listen to music..but coz of the economic condition at home i couldn’t pursue learning it and to study get a stable job was all that was talked and taught at home… so i managed my studies along with learning my passion by watching dance competitions at tv and dance vedios at youtube..
In 2019, a state level competition came named Champion Hunt and my frnds forced me to participate in it… i somehow managed to convince my family,took part in it and i won the competition..
Winning that competition increased my confidence level and i knew it then that this is what i want to do all my life…
Then i opened up my dance academy and started teaching small kids which helped me in having my independent source of income as well. Side by side by finished my graduation in B.A english from khalsa college..
I am a lyrical style freelance dancer and thts what i teach my students also. As tym passed i participated in other competitions, i choreographed annual functions for schools, prepared students for competitions and was called as a guest of honour in few events..
My journey from a performer to a teacher and now a choreographer has been not so smooth but i still cherish it coz thts what has made me what i am and it continues to make me learn and grow..
