My name is ronit Dey and I’m known as 9T.
I represent the streets of Guwahati and i represent the voice north east, the rapping scene, the culture of hiphop and sick spit cyphers.
And a guy who don’t talk much but give replies in my music
For me music has been a way to express my feelings and emotions.
I came from the hills and mountains of the north east
9T has has always been drawn the rhythm of life, from the beats of the nature, from the pulse of the city to the beats on the mic.
I’m a versatile rapper, a vocal performer, lyricist and a musician.
My journey has been multifaceted as the music i create.
In the north east there were not so much resources for rapping as the rapping culture was not much introduced in north east.
When i started i got many flows and people used to say me that why am i doing these type of things, but when people came and understood my music and lyrics and what I’m trying to deliver to them, they started believing in me. My family who didn’t used to support me has now started believing in me and they said to me that go and win the show.
I always want my music to deliver a story, a speech which people can’t usually in communication.
My songs have a depth in it.
I have seen many downfalls in my life and from there I choose music to tell what i was suffering from and what I wanted say and what the power has music in it.
