ITF Singer Muskan Sonar Ledo Tinsukia Assam
Muskan Sonar (born 2008) is an Indian singer and social worker from the village of Jagun Tinisuti, located in the Tinsukia district of Assam. Jagun is known as the birthplace of the legendary singer and composer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, and Muskan aspires to follow a similar musical path despite having had no formal training in music.
At just 16 years old, Muskan has already made a mark through her appearance on the popular television reality show India’s Talent Fight (ITF). She came to know about the show through YouTube and encouragement from her brother, SKD Gorkha, who is also a singer. Muskan submitted her audition video to the ITF team with support from her family and friends, eventually being selected for the televised round — a moment she describes as a “golden” one for both her and her family.
Muskan is deeply committed to social work in her community, helping the underprivileged in and around her village. Despite limited resources and lack of formal music education, her passion for singing has driven her journey. She attributes much of her progress to the unwavering support of her family, including her parents and brother SKD Gorkha, who has financially supported her musical pursuits.
She also expresses gratitude to several individuals who have motivated her, including Akash Gurung, Dol Bahadur Sonar, Dipa Sonar, Hira Gojmer, and Kishan Sonar, all of whom have played significant roles in her personal and musical journey.
Muskan’s dream is to become a playback singer in the Indian music industry. She cites her brother SKD Gorkha as her biggest inspiration and idol. Through her participation in India’s Talent Fight, she hopes to inspire others from rural backgrounds to pursue their dreams in music and beyond.
